Brendan founded Employ Africa in August 2010. He had gained experience in this industry since 2007 being mentored by Doug Fieldgate and Francesca Shacklady. From its humble beginnings in the spare bedroom of Brendan’s home, Employ Africa is now 14 employees strong and growing.
Brendan has a background in electronic engineering and his past experience had a strong focus on Sales and Customer Relations. Business Development is one of Brendan’s core strengths. He thrives on closing deals and has an entrepreneurial flair.
His vision for the company is to increase Employ Africa’s market share in Eastern and Southern Africa.
What makes Employ Africa successful is the personal attention clients get. This is a result of the company being smaller and employees having their fingers on the pulse of all matters relating to their clients. This recipe for success has enabled Employ Africa to open offices in Mozambique and Kenya, and all this while the world is still reeling from a recession.
Brendan has experience in Western African markets and how they operate in the oil and gas as well as petrochemical industries. It is this wealth of experience and knowledge he brings with him as he aims to cement business relationships in the newly developed gas industry of Eastern Africa.
His personal strengths include having a “hunter” type sales profile with a sound understanding of clients’ manpower requirements. This results in clients being able to leave all their payroll and manpower issues to Employ Africa, while they focus on their core strengths and go about achieving their business objectives.
